Today's Random Kawaii - Pupwasher

You know, giving my dog Houdini a bath is SUCH a hassle.  If only he was dishwasher-safe like this lil guy ;P

Today's Makeup Look - Turquoise Sea Featuring Sally Girl Eyeshadows

I have some beautiful shadows by Sally Girl that I don't use as often as I should.  Their mini baked eyeshadows are super cheap (.99 a piece!) and very pigmented.
So for this look, I decided to try and use all four of the ones I own: a deep bronzy brown, bright tuquoise, metallic silver, and shimmery white (see pic below).
That's Bella laying in the sink behind the shadows lol!
After applying a white cream base, I covered three-quarters of my lid in the turquoise, then added the brown in the outer corner and blended the two colors together in the middle.
After that, I swept the silver into the crease and highlighted my browbone with the white.  Then I drug the brown down under the outer half of my lower lashline, and put some turquoise under the inner half of my lower lashline.
I finished the look with brown liquid eyeliner and lots of mascara.  And since the eyes are rather dramatic, I'm wearing a matte nude pink lipstick and natural blush.  I've never tried a look like this, but overall I think it turned out pretty good.
Official Makeup Mascot, Bella ;)

Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black Drama (my fave!)

Today's Random Kawaii - Cat-flavored Popcorn

I love going to the movies, but the snacks are such a rip-off!  Who in their right mind is gonna pay $8 for a medium popcorn without any cat in it??  If I'm not eating handfuls of cat fur in every bite of popcorn, it's just not worth it.

Today's Makeup Look - Smokey Purple

So I know I haven't done a makeup look in FOREVER, but I've been so distracted with other things in my life right now that I haven't been able to blog quite as much as I'd like.  I've been actively looking for a job for well over a month.  Hopefully my prospects will improve soon.

Anywaaaaaay...for this look, I used a bunch of cosmetics I haven't used in ages.  I think it turned out pretty well.  I coated my whole lid in a light, shimmery base, then placed a silvery-lavender on the inner half of the lid and a pinkish purple (plum) on the outer half of my lids.
I pulled the plum color up into my crease and blended black over it to get a smokier look.  Then I highlighted my inner corners and browbone in the silvery-lavender and drug the plum color down under the outer two-thirds of my lower lash line.

I finished with a pretty purple gel liner over the top lashes and black on my lower waterline.  Add some mascara and some soft, matte pink lipgloss and you're all done!

Products used:  Jordana creme eye shadow stick in 13 April Showers (as a base)
Any shimmery, silvery-lavender eyeshadow
Any plum, or pinkish purple eyeshadow
Any black eyeshadow (I depotted all these shadows awhile ago, so I don't remember their names)
Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner in Wine 03
Revlon Timeliner for Eyes in Ebony
Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black Drama
Aura Science Shine lip lacquer in Wisper Pink

Today's Random Kawaii - Interspecies Snuggling, Part 3

A cat hugging a puppy, a dog snorgling a piglett, and a baby duck cuddling a baby owl.  I'm finding so many cute pics of different animals showin' love that I just combined a few together.  How cute!!! :)

Today's Random Kawaii - Interspecies Snuggling, Part 2

This time it's a deer and a dog snuggling!  I'm beginning to think deer are extremely nondiscriminatory when it comes to their cuddling needs.

The Wii U: Nintendo's Next Gen Console

At E3 this month (E3 is the biggest and most respected video game expo), Nintendo unveiled their next home gaming console, the Wii U!  Pictured above is the Wii U's giant controller (standard Wii remotes will also work, depending on the game) boasting a 6.2in touch screen that will allow everything from video calling to web browsing.
The Wii U offers fully HD visuals, backwards compatibility with current Wii games, and unprecedented interactivity.  One of the coolest features shown in the demo trailer is the ability to go from playing a game on your big screen at home, to playing it in the palm of your hand should someone else want to watch TV.
Nintendo also unveiled an impressive list of upcoming games for the Wii U.  Based on what they showed during their E3 press conference, it looks like they're bringing a much larger variety of games to the system, including a lot more mature titles - good news for many hardcore gamers who have often labeled Nintendo as "kiddy" or only for "casual" gamers.
No word yet on how much the Wii U will cost, but it's slated for release late next year.  Obviously, there's some skepticism over the big controller and whether or not Nintendo can fulfill all their promises, but I've owned and loved every video game console they've ever released.  I stood in line for hours to get the Wii on launch day and I'm excited to do it all again with the Wii U!
What do you guys think?

Sushi Cake!

Via Must Have Cute
No, this is not a wood block decoratively covered in delicious sushi.  It is actually a cake, believe it or not!  Whoever made this is so talented, and whoever received it for their birthday is super lucky :)
Hopefully it's cake-flavored sushi and not sushi-flavored cake! Lol

Today's Random Kawaii - Hello Kitty Cake

Via Hawaii Kawaii
How pretty and yummy does this Hello Kitty cake look?  I don't think I'd have the heart to cut into it, but I'd love to know where they got the adorable kitty-shaped baking dish!

Houdini Gets a Bath :)

Although he hates getting a bath, Houdini is very patient about it.  His favorite part is when I dry him off with a towel and hair dryer.  He wants me to keep drying him well after he's all dry lol.  This whole process makes him really hyper and afterwards, he runs around the house like a nut, scaring the cats.  He's so silly! And now he's clean too :)
